A simplified method for determining the coefficient of transmissibility of an aquifer being pumped intermittently is developed by applying Stirling's Approximation Formula to the factorial functions in the Theis and Brown equation for drawdown in a well due to intermittent or cyclic discharge. A table of values of K, a term used in the simplified method, corresponding to the fraction of each cycle during which time discharge occurs is also presented.
