Notes:
In this paper the authors describe the construction and the operation of a scintillator hodoscope used in an intense beam. By using a fast scintillator (Pilot U), an XP1910 photomultiplier, and an appropriate electronic chain, a two-pulse separation of 6 ns per channel and a time resolution (σ) of 210 ps were obtained.
