Summary The paper discuss the discrepancy between the jaw relationship as assessed upon plaster models and the ANB-angle assessed by cephalometries. The evaluation of a large number of cases showed a great dependence between the size of ANB-angle, SNA-angle and the inclination of the mandibular plane. By the aid of the multiple statistical analysis of correlation we found an equation, which enables one to calculate an individualized ANB-angle.

Résumé Ce travail étudie les différences observées entre la relation sagittale des maxillaires relevée sur moulages et celle étudiée sur téléradiographie (angle ANB). Dans un grand nombre de cas, on a constaté l'existence d'une grande dépendance entre les angles ANB, SNA et ML-NSL. On a calculé statistiquement cette dépendance et on peut ainsi déterminer chaque angle ANB individuellement.

Zusammenfassung Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Erklärung der Diskrepanzen, die bei der Bestimung der sagittalen Kieferrelation anhand des Modellbefunds (Bißlage) und der skelettalen Kieferrelation im Fernröntgenbild (ANB-Winkel) beobachtet werden. Anhand einer großen Zahl von Fällen wurde festgestellt, daß eine große Abhängigkeit zwischen den Winkeln ANB, SNA und ML-NSL besteht. Diese Abhängigkeit wurde statistisch berechnet und ein individualisierter ANB-Winkel angegeben.
