Summary Based on the therapy with the Bionator an appliance for the treatment of the “Deckbiß” (Class II, Division 2 malocclusion) is described to which a bite plate is fixed according to the dental arch. The appliance has proved to be an effective means to transmit somatic forces for the morphological and functional correction of the masticatory organ.

Résumé Dans le traitement de la supraclusion de la Classe II, division 1 (Deckbiss), les auteurs décrivent un appareil qui sápparentant au mode thérapeutique du Bionator, est complèté par un plan de surélévation. Dans la pratique, cet appareil s'est révélé être un moyen efficace utilisant les forces physiologiques pour transformer morphologiquement et fonctionnellement l'appareil de mastication.

Zusammenfassung Zur Behandlung des Deckbisses wird ein Gerät beschrieben, dem ausgehend von der Bionator-Therapie eine dem Zahnbogen entsprechende Aufbißebene eingefügt ist. Dieses Gerät hat sich in der Praxis als wirkungsvolles Hilfsmittel bei der Übertragung körpereigener Kräfte zur morphologischen und funktionellen Umformung des Kauorgans erwiesen.
