Zusammenfassung An der Klinik der Autoren wird diese Operation seit 8 Jahren ausgeführt. Die hier vorgetragenen Ergebnisse beruhen auf den ersten 400 Fällen aus den Jahren 1965–1969. Die Papillenplastik wurde in ca. 10% aller Gallenblasenoperationen und ca. einem Drittel aller Gallengangsoperationen durchgeführt. Drei Viertel aller Papillenplastiken wurden anläßlich einer Erstoperation an den Gallenwegen durchgeführt, ein Viertel als Zweitoperation. Die wichtigsten Indikationen waren Prophylaxe des Pankreatitis-Rezidivs, multiple Gallensteine und Papillenstenose. Bei der Gesamtzahl der Operationen sahen wir Komplikationen in 9% (35 Fälle). Diese waren meistens zu beherrschen, so daß die Mortalität 2,5% (10 Fälle) betrug. Bei der Auswertung der in 80% durchgeführten Nachunter suchungen ergibt sich folgendes Ergebnis: ca. 60% beschwerdefrei, 35% leichte Beschwerden, 5% keine Besserung.

Summary This operation has been practiced in the authors' hospital since 1965. The results discussed are based on the first 400 operations performed between 1965–1969. About 10% of all gallbladder operations and about one third of all operations on the choledochus were combined with a papilloplastic. In three-quarters of all cases, papilloplastic was performed during a primary operation on the choledochus, and in one quarter during a second operation. The most important indications were prophylaxis of a relapse of pancreatitis, multiple gallstones, and stenosis of the papilla. In these 400 cases the frequency of complications was 9% (35 cases). These complications were controllable in most cases; the mortality was 2.5% (10 cases). 80% of all cases were later examined; 60% were free of pain, 35% had minor symptoms, and in 5% there had been no improvement.
