No evidence for mycoviruses in Entomophthora egressa

Summary Two strains of Entomophthora egressa which differ in their pathogenicity towards the spruce budworm were surveyed for the presence of double-stranded RNA mycoviruses. There was no evidence for the occurrence of any mycovirus in either strain. This indicates that virulence in E. egressa is not associated with a mycovirus.
