Note on diurnal temperature variation

Summary Brunt's simple expression for the diurnal variation of the surface temperature of the ground at the equinox is extended to any conditions. It is found that the time lag after noon of the maximum temperature varies from between 1.9 to 2.9 hours according to latitude and season.
