Abstract This report suggests that the release of various inflammatory mediators such as histamine, LTC4, D4 and E4, and TXA2 measured as the stable metabolite TXB2 are partly responsible for the various cardiac and renal effects of the complement fragment C5a des Arg anaphylatoxin, in addition to its direct vasoconstrictor activity.
