A detector system consisting of 4 Euroball cluster detectors, a charged-particle detector ball and a 16 element neutron multiplicity filter was used to detect the emitted particles and γ rays. A new, significantly extended level scheme was constructed on the basis of γγ-coincidence relations. Spin values for the states were determined from angular distribution ratios. We have studied the structure of light neutron-rich nuclei around N = 16 by employing the in-beam $\gamma$ -ray spectroscopy technique using the fragmentation of secondary beams of 25,26Ne, 27,28Na and 29,30Mg isotopes. This secondary-beam “cocktail” was obtained by the fragmentation of a 36S beam at 77.5 MeV $\cdot A$ by the SISSI/GANIL facility. By a second-step fragmentation, we have measured $\gamma$ -ray-residue coincidences in 17-20C and 23,24O and described the obtained levels in the framework of the shell model.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

New excited states have been observed in the neutron deficient isotope 98Ag following the 58Ni+50Cr →108Te* heavy–ion reaction. One of these states may be interpreted as a maximum spin aligned state of the πg9/2 −3νg7/2 configuration.
