Publication Date: 2018-07-27Description: Der Soziale Konstruktionismus, wie er gegenwärtig vertreten wird, versteht sich vor allem als metatheoretische Alternative zum Positivismus und dient so vielen sozial- und kulturwissenschaftlichen Forschungsansätzen als Bezugspunkt. Dabei verschenkt er sein Potenzial, im Sinne eines psychologischen Forschungsprogramms – welches also Konzepten individueller Handlung und Subjektivität Platz lässt – verstanden zu werden. Um dieses andere Verständnis zu fördern, sollte er u.a. zu einem regeren Austausch mit der Mainstream-Psychologie übergehen. Eine theoretisch tragfähige Konzeption sozialkonstruktionistischer Psychologie kommt außerdem kaum um den Bezug auf neuere Ansätze der Kulturpsychologie herum. Ein entscheidender Vorteil eines so verstandenen Sozialen Konstruktionismus besteht in seinem größeren Potenzial, praktisch-psychologisches Handeln leiten zu können, insbesondere weil die Übertragung eines postmodernen und individualistischen Menschenbilds, die den klassischen sozialkonstruktionistischen Ansätzen implizit ist, vermieden wird.Social constructionism currently is understood as a metatheoretical alternative to positivism. It serves many social and cultural scientists as a point of reference. The possibilities to understand it as a psychological program of research that leaves space for agency and subjectivity usually are neglected. Promoting a dialogue with mainstream psychology constitutes one way of fostering social constructionist psychology. In addition, a theoretically productive conception of social constructionist psychology cannot do without reference to cultural psychology. An important advantage of such a conception lies in the increased number of possibilities for practical applications in hospitals, schools and factories. Whereas present applications of social constructionism tend to promote the postmodernization and individualization of the client, applied social constructionist psychology avoids these concomitant effects.Se entiende actualmente al construccionismo social como una alternativa al positivismo. Muchos científicos sociales y culturales lo usan como punto de referencia. En el curso de esto, su potencial de ser entendido como una teoría psicológica – o sea una teoría que da lugar a la agencia y a la subjetividad – es usualmente ignorado. Una forma de fomentar la psicología social construccionista es la de promover el diálogo con la psicología dominante. Una concepción teórica precisa de la psicología social construccionista debería referirse también a los nuevos enfoques de la psicología cultural. Una importante ventaja de tal concepción es su gran aplicabilidad en hospitales, escuelas y fábricas.
