Published 1993Staff ViewISSN: 1077-3118Source: AIP Digital ArchiveTopics: PhysicsNotes: Carbon doped GaAs epitaxial layers have been grown using solid arsenic and trimethylgallium. Carbon incorporation, proceeding from the organic radicals, was found to be dependent on the hydrogen partial pressure. The latter was fixed by the introduction of nitrogen in the carrier gas. Controlled p-doping between 1016 and 1221 cm−3 has been obtained by adjusting the composition of the carrier gas. The growth rate of the layers was found to be reduced by the introduction of nitrogen. Mirrorlike surfaces were obtained if at least 2% hydrogen was mixed in the carrier gas, but only polycrystalline films could be grown in a pure nitrogen atmosphere.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

Published 2001Staff ViewISSN: 1077-3118Source: AIP Digital ArchiveTopics: PhysicsNotes: Spinodal decomposition of the BxGayIn1−x−yAs quaternary alloys lattice-matched to the GaAs as the result of the internal deformation and coherency strain energies is described. The alloys are represented in the strictly regular approximation. The internal deformation energy is considered by the valence-force field model. The estimated bond-stretching and bond-bending elastic constants of BAs are αBAs=6.69×10−2 N/m and βBAs=1.81×10−2 N/m, respectively. Ranges of spinodal decomposition of the BxGayIn1−x−yAs quaternary alloys up to x≤0.1 with and without coherency strain energy are demonstrated. © 2001 American Institute of Physics.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

9Influence of temperature and seasons on H3-norepinephrine uptake by isolated strip ventricle of frogStaff View
Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

ISSN: 1420-9071Source: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: BiologyMedicineNotes: Summary The decrease of the norepinephrine levels in hypothalamus and heart caused by stress is prevented by pargyline and imipramine. Such a decrease in spleen and adrenals is not affected. Chlorpromazine and lithium only prevent the norepinephrine decrease in the spleen. The uptake of H3norepinephrine by isolated atria of guinea-pig increases during anoxia; the change to a normal oxygen situation decreases these norepinephrine levels by more than 50%.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL:
