    Zusammenfassung Die Häufigkeit postoperativer Komplikationen bei 35 Patienten mit Zungen-Carcinom, bei denen vor der chirurgischen Behandlung eine fraktionierte Strahlentherapie mit 3000–7000 rad durchgefiihrt wurde, wurde nachgeprüft. Hautnekrosen, Fisteln, Blutungen, Infektionen und Knochennekrosen wurden beobachtet. Dabei ergab sich eine klare Tendenz zur Häufung von Komplikationen nach Dosen oberhalb 4000 rad. Unterhalb dieser Dosis wurden keine Komplikationen beobachtet. Ihre eindeutig gleichmäßige Verteilung bezogen auf die Zeit zwischen Strahlentherapie und Operation (28–91 Tage) zeigt, daß these Zeitunterschiede keinen Einfluß auf die Häufigkeit der Komplikationen hatten.

    Summary The frequency of postoperative complications in 35 patients with arcinoma of the tongue in whom surgical treatment was preceded by fractionated radiotherapy (3000–7000 rat) have been studied. Skin necrosis, fistula, bleeding, infection and bone-necrosis were recorded. There was found a clear tendency for the frequency of complications to increase with dose above 4000 rad. Below 4000 rad no complications were recorded. The fairly uniform distribution of complications with respect to time (28–91 days) elapsing between radiotherapy and operation indicates that these intervals had no bearing on the frequency of complications in this study.
