The ungauged group G is regarded as the group of left translations on a fiber bundle G(G/H,H), where H is a closed subgroup and G/H is space-time. The Yang–Mills potential is the pullback of the Maurer–Cartan form and the Yang–Mills fields are zero. More general diffeomorphisms on the bundle space are then identified as the appropriate gauged generalizations of the left translations, and the Yang–Mills potential is identified as the pullback of the dual of a certain kind of vielbein on the group manifold. The gauged generalization of the global diffeomorphisms consists of general diffeomorphisms (or coordinate transformations) on a base space together with a local action of H on the fields. The light mitochondrial fraction, containing microbodies, mitochondria and vacuoles, was isolated from spheroplasts. Vacuoles in cells were demonstrated by the inability of acridine orange to stain organelles previously treated with 2.5 μM Bafilomycin A1, a vacuolar ATPase inhibitor. Microbodies, mitochondria and vacuoles were separated from the light mitochondrial fraction by self-generated density-gradient ultracentrifugation using iodixanol as gradient medium. NADH-dependent n-alkane monooxygenase activity and fatty alcohol oxidase activity were located in the cytoplasm and mitochondrial fractions respectively.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

An exact mathematical model is presented for a finite scatterer with a closed surface, where the surface integral equations are exclusively used to represent the fluid-solid or acoustic-elastic interaction of the scattering process. The numerical procedure involves application of point collocation with quadratic isoparametric approximations that reduce the integral equations to a discrete set of complex linear algebraic equations. Examples emphasize the potential of the method to solve three-dimensional problems of practical interest. Limitations of the formulations and the extension to the case of a semi-infinite plane and curved fluid-solid interface are discussed in the latter part of the paper.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

For immobilization the activity of the spores was evaluated on a variety of matrices such as alginate beads, epoxy resin beads, polyacrylamide gel, and collagen. Spores entrapped in polyacrylamide gel were found to be the most active. Studies of various parameters, e.g. monomer content, cell loading capacity, optimum pH, temperature, and substrate concentration, were carried out on polyacrylamide gel. In polyacrylamide, the entrapped spores normal decay pattern, as indicated by loss of activity, was observed after four uses. At the end of 15 cycles, the residual activity was found to be 18% of the original. It was possible to regenerate the activity by incubating the preparation in a nutrient medium.
