We study and analyse the optical dipole potential for guiding atoms in various forms of both Laguerre-Gaussian and Bessel light beams. We find that Laguerre-Gaussian beams of high azimuthal index are advantageous for focusing atoms. We identify that high-order Bessel beams offer significant advantages for atom transport over extended distances when compared to Laguerre-Gaussian light beams. Possible future experimental methods to channel atoms into a high-order Bessel beam via a Laguerre-Gaussian light beam are discussed.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

ISSN: 0044-2313Keywords: Alkali metal fluoride carbonates ; preparation ; crystal structure ; IR, Raman spectra ; Chemistry ; Inorganic ChemistrySource: Wiley InterScience Backfile Collection 1832-2000Topics: Chemistry and PharmacologyDescription / Table of Contents: Alkali Metal Fluoride CarbonatesAlkali metal fluoride carbonates A3(CO3)F and A2A′(CO3)F with A,A′ = K, Rb, Cs have been obtained by solid state reaction between the respective alkali metal fluorides and carbonates. They crystallize isotype to K3(CO3)F. The cell dimensions of K2Rb(CO3)F, KRb2(CO3)F, and CsRb2(CO3)F have been determined and refined by X-ray powder diffraction methods. Solid solutions are formed between K3(CO3)F and Rb3(CO3)F. The crystal structures of K2Rb(CO3)F and KRb2(CO3)F were refined based on single crystal diffraction data. A factor group analysis allowed for interpretation of IR and Raman spectra of K3(CO3)F.Notes: Fluoridcarbonate der Alkalimetalle A3(CO3)F bzw. Additional Material: 3 Ill.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

The crystal structure was determined using diffractometer data (P3, a = b = 10.483(1), c = 6.607(1) Å, MoKα, 1080 independent reflections, Rw = 0.025). PO4-tetrahedra and AlO4F2-“octahedra” are connected via common vertices forming a twodimensionally extended heteropolyanion. Sodium is located in interconnected spacings of the [AlF2(PO4)2]-part of the structure. Ionic conductivity as expected because of these structural features was affirmed experimentally. Additional Material: 2 Ill.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL:
