Publication Date: 2018-07-27Description: EU-Russia cooperation has experienced problems in many areas. Nevertheless, cooperation in the field of migration proves to be successful. Through analysing the EU-Russia migration agenda from the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (1997) to the Roadmap for the Common Space on Freedom, Security and Justice (2005), the article assesses the main results of its implementation, such as the Readmission and Visa Facilitation agreements. Moreover, it stresses the role of Russia as an agenda-setter of the EU migration agenda in the Eastern Europe. Keywords: Internationale Beziehungen ; International relations ; International Relations, International Politics, Foreign Affairs, Development Policy ; internationale Beziehungen, Entwicklungspolitik ; EU ; international relations ; migration policy ; immigration policy ; Russia ; Europeanization ; migration ; domestic policy ; immigration ; Migration ; Russland ; Einwanderungspolitik ; internationale Beziehungen ; Migrationspolitik ; Innenpolitik ; Europäisierung ; Einwanderung ; 10500Type: journal article, Zeitschriftenartikel -

ISSN: 1433-9285Source: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: MedicineNotes: Summary In order to identify the psychosocial factors that lead to the demand for medical care related to the menopause, we carried out a case/control study. A case was defined as a woman who sought gynaecological care due to “menopausal complaints” (n=85) and a control referred to a woman drawn at random from the general population. The cases showed greater psychiatric morbidity and social dissatisfaction, a lower level of diffused social support and a higher frequency of severe life events and the controls showed greater social maladjustment in objective conditions. The multivariate analysis (logistic regression) carried out after adjusting all the relevant variables, indicated that the demand for medical care due to menopausal complaints was not only determined by the menopausal status itself but also by a set of social and demographic variables, especially dissatisfaction and a lack of social support.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

ISSN: 1432-1793Source: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: BiologyNotes: Abstract Alkaline phosphatase activity (APA) was determined in 44 species of marine macrophytes collected throughout 1991 and 1992 along the southern coast of Spain. Activity varied between 0.83 μmol paranitrophenol (pNP) released g-1 dry wt h-1 in Ulva rigida var. gigantea and 238.8 μmol pNP g-1 dry wt h-1 in Bangia fuscopurpurea. Using a histochemical method, APA sites were located in five of these species: Corallina elongata Ellis et Soland, Gelidium latifolium (Grev.) Thur. et Born., G. sesquipedale (Clem.) Born. et Thur., Porphyra umbilicalis (L.) Kützing and Zostera noltii Hornem. Enzymatic activity was found in the outer part of the thallus, either on the cell wall or in the cortical cells. In the marine phanerogam Z. noltii activity was also located in the vascular bundle. The results suggest that APA is present in many, if not all, marine macrophytes from southern Spain, and plays a relevant role in the utilization of dissolved organic phosphorus compounds.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

ISSN: 1573-5052Keywords: Leaf decomposition ; Forest ecosystemsSource: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: BiologyNotes: Abstract Experimental litter decomposition of Quercus rotundifolia leaves in an evergreen oak forest of the semiarid area of the Duero Basin has been carried out. The loss of weight of the decomposing oak leaves was 62% after 24 months. In general, it is physical factors (mainly precipitation) which limit the decomposition of the evergreen oak leaves. Different patterns of bioelement losses were observed, increasing the relative content of N and P, and decreasing the amounts of Mg, K and Na in the decomposing leaves.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

ISSN: 1573-1634Keywords: lost circulation ; drilling ; shut-in ; temperature distribution ; geothermal wellsSource: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: GeosciencesTechnologyNotes: Abstract The estimation of temperatures in and around a geothermal well during circulation, and during shut-in conditions in the presence of lost circulation is presented in this work. Estimated temperatures are compared with temperature logs measured during drilling stoppages. Temperatures were estimatted using a computer code specifically developed to account for the transient convective heat transfer due to lost circulation in the rock surrounding a well. This feature of the present code is important since wellbore simulators normally consider the heat transfer process in the rock as a merely conductive problem. The code is capable of accounting for these losses at any point in the well and application was made to the study of two Mexican geothermal wells(well LV-3 from the Las Tres Vírgenes field and well EAZ-2 from the Los Azufres field). The results show that the effect of lost circulation on the shut-in temperature profiles can be modelled satisfactorily. Research is under way to improve the present methodology.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL:
