ISSN: 1572-9982Source: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: EconomicsNotes: Summary A putty-clay vintage model has been estimated for five industrial sectors: food, beverages and tobacco manufacturing; textiles, clothing and footwear manufacturing; chemical industry and oil refineries; metal manufacturing, and total manufacturing. Substitutabilityex ante between labour and capital appeared to be small in the first four sectors, with textiles, clothing and footwear manufacturing as an exception. Substitutabilityex ante in total manufacturing industry is rather high: an elasticity of substitution of −0.74. Embodied technical progress is strong in all industrial sectors. In textiles, clothing and footwear manufacturing and in total manufacturing it is both labour- and capital-augmenting in nature. In the other sectors it is mainly of the labour-augmenting variety.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

ISSN: 1432-0630Keywords: 78.20 ; 61.70 ; 72.40Source: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Production Engineering, Mining and Metallurgy, Traffic Engineering, Precision MechanicsPhysicsNotes: Abstract Holograms recorded under suitable conditions in photorefractive BaTiO3 exhibit an unusual dark build-up. The diffraction efficiency increases by some orders of magnitude after the recording beams are switched off, and then steadily decreases afterwards. An interpretation of this effect in terms of a two-center charge transport model is given.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

The results are interpreted in terms of a two-center charge transport model. Different model parameters may be evaluated from the experimental data. A complete set of parameters is suggested explaining the dependences of photoconductivity and light-induced absorption on light intensity and temperature for the KNbO3: Fe crystal investigated.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

ISSN: 1573-0670Keywords: Anti-unification problem ; unificationSource: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: Computer ScienceNotes: Abstract The anti-unifier is the dual notion to the unifier, i.e., it is the most specific term that has the input terms as instances. We show that the problem of anti-unification is in NC, in contrast to unification that is known to be P-complete.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL:
