The first (general) method can be used to design clocked and asynchronous circuits. The second (simple) method makes it possible to synthesize circuits based on nonclassical models. The latter method can be easily automated, improves the checkout of control units, and allows one to construct control units from unified (standard) blocks.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

It is shown that the exchange interaction leads to an anomalous temperature dependence of the intensity of the inelastic magnetic scattering of neutrons. An unconventional theory is constructed for the magnetoelastic interaction induced by Kondo scattering. The proposed model is in quantitative agreement with the results of neutron and thermodynamic investigations of the compound CeAl3.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

It is demonstrated that the dependence of the scattering cross section of the spin liquid on the energy transfer has the same shape as the quasielastic peak observed experimentally in heavy-fermion systems. It is shown that a consequence of fact that the excitations of the spin-liquid state obey Fermi statistics is that the total quasielastic scattering cross section oscillates as a function of the momentum transfer.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

ISSN: 1090-6509Source: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: PhysicsNotes: Abstract A theory of stabilization of a spin liquid in a Kondo lattice at temperatures close to the temperature of antiferromagnetic instability has been developed. Kondo exchange scattering of conduction electrons leads to emergence of a state of the spin liquid of the resonating valence bonds (RVB) type at T〉T K. Owing to this stabilization, low-energy processes of Kondo scattering with energies below T K are frozen so that the “singlet” state of the Kondo lattice is not realized; instead a strongly correlated spin liquid with developed antiferromagnetic fluctuations occurs. A new version of the Feynman diagram technique has been developed to describe interaction between spin fluctuations and resonant valence bonds in a self-consistent manner. Emergence of a strongly anisotropic RVB spin liquid is discussed.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

It is found that the temperature dependence of T 1 exhibits two relaxation minima, and the quadrupole splitting in the Li NMR spectra shows an anomalous temperature behavior. The inference is drawn that the observed effects are associated with the high-rate diffusive motion of lithium ions along one-dimensional channels and the interchannel transitions.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

ISSN: 1090-6509Source: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: PhysicsNotes: Abstract A self-consistent microscopic theory of the relaxation of the crystal-field levels of an impurity ion in a state with an integer valence implanted in a normal metal is devised. A microscopic approach based on the Coqblin-Schrieffer-Cooper approach, rather than the formal model of the sf exchange interaction, makes it possible to take into account the specific details of both the crystal-field states of the impurity ion and the electronic band spectrum of the metal. A new method for the soft spectroscopy of electronic states based on measurements of the temperature dependence of the width ΓMM′(T) of transitions between the crystal-field states |M〉 of a paramagnetic ion implanted in the compound being studied is proposed. To make specific use of this method in neutron and optical spectroscopy, a classification of the types of temperature dependence of the natural relaxation width γ M (T) of the levels is devised, and procedures for possible experimental methods are proposed. A nonzero value of the natural relaxation width γ G (T) of the crystal-field ground state | G〉 of an impurity ion at zero temperature is obtained within the proposed self-consistent model, but is beyond the scope of perturbation theory. It is shown that the widely accepted estimate of the characteristic temperature of Kondo systems T*=Γ G(T=0)/2 from the quasielastic scattering width at zero temperature Γ G (T=0)/2 is incorrect in the case of strong relaxation in a system with soft crystal fields. The proposed model is applied to the quantitative analysis of the relaxation of the crystal-field levels of paramagnetic Pr3+ ions implanted in CeAl3 and LaAl3. The results of the calculations are in quantitative agreement with the experimental data.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

A description is given of a method of measuring the input impedance of the transducer in the microwave when an array of connecting waveguide elements with losses were present between the transducer and the resistance measuring system. Dependences of the radiation coefficient and the phase propagation constant of an electromagnetic wave in the transducer were obtained as a function of the magnetic field induction. Calculations were made of the efficiency of conversion of electromagnetic energy into a electromagnetic surface wave.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

The formation of cyclopentene and cyclopentane has been estabished for membrane catalysts made from Pd Alloys with Ru and Rh that have been subjected to thermal diffusion of Zn and Ga and chemical treatment.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

The reaction of the O-ethers of activated oximes with diazoalkanes was investigated, and a simple synthesis was developed for difficultly obtainable O-substituted 1-hydroxy-2,2aziridine dicarboxylic esters. 2. The acid-catalyzed decomposition of dimethyl 1-tosyloxy-Δ2-1,2,3-triazoline-5,5dicarboxylate leads to aziridine and methyl p-toluenesulfonate. During thermolysis and direct photolysis the product from the retroprocess tosyloxyiminomalonate and its homolog tosyloxyiminosuccinate are formed in addition. The yield of the latter decreases during sensitized photolysis. 3. It was found that the saponification of the alkyloxyiminomalonic esters is trans stereospecific, and the Z and E Isomers of methyl ethyl methoxyiminomalonate. were.synthesized. 4. Optically active dimethyl 1-tosyloxy-2,2-aziridinedicarboxylate was obtained by crystallization froml-methyl lactate.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -
