We found that 70 (60)% of total carriers are doped selectively into two outer CuO 2 planes in n = 3 (4). This indicates resultantly that the inhomogeneity of carrier distribution increases with increasing δ and n in multilayer cuprates.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

The PME is similar to that observed in cuprates and Nb superconductors. For the Ba0.63K0.37BiO3 crystal the PME is observed in cooling process under the field up to 750 Oe. The PME was not found in the virgin-charged superconducting magnet. The PME is found in a superconductor with trapped flux and may arise from a remnant field, a temperature inhomogeneity near Tc, and a potassium-concentration inhomogeneity.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

Transport and magnetic measurements and iodometric titration analysis were carried out for these materials. From these results we discuss the correlation between T c , the Hall number, copper valence and oxygen content. The effect of the substituted M ions on T c in (CuC, M)-l234 (M=Ni,Zn,Al,TI,Mg) is also discussed. We propose a unique selective carrier-doping mechanism in (Cu,C)- and (CuC,Mg)-1234 systems.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

We have measured the pressure dependence of superconducting transition temperature (T c ) through insitu resistivity measurements up to 8 GPa for these samples, reproducibly. These samples indicated almost the same T c -enhancement by applied pressure, in spite of their different ambient T c values. The enhancement values of 8-10 K at 8 GPa pressure for these samples are found to be comparable to those of Hg-system and (B,C)-system.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL: -

ISSN: 1573-0972Keywords: Bagasse ; lignocellulose ; single cell protein ; StreptomycesSource: Springer Online Journal Archives 1860-2000Topics: BiologyProcess Engineering, Biotechnology, Nutrition TechnologyNotes: Abstract Two Streptomyces strains were grown on sugarcane bagasse and groundnut hulls lignocelluloses in semi-solid state culture at 37°C for 12 weeks. Best results gave a 45% depletion of sugarcane bagasse lignocellulose with a 21% crude protein content of final material. The possibility of using S. viridosporus to improve the protein content of both lignocelluloses for use as an animal feedstock supplement is discussed.Type of Medium: Electronic ResourceURL:
