4 men working at different times in a factory in a factory where they were exposed to palladium chloride, copper sulfate, formaldehyde, epozy-fibreglass, lead trichloroethylene and ammonium persulfate, developed erythema multiforme major after 6 yo 12 weeks of exposure. Liver involvement was documented in 3 cases. On the basis of positive epicutaneous tests in 2 of the 4 workers, formaldehyde is presumed to be the cause of the reactions.
