The CH3-proton resonances for the 2,4- and 2,6-isomers of toluene di-isocyanate separate when hexafluorobenzene is used as a solvent. Integration of these absorptions over an expanded sweep scale gives the isomer ratio with an accuracy of ±0.5% over the range normally encountered with commercial samples.
