    Description / Table of Contents:
0,014μg/cm2. Die Zusammensetzung der Ruthenium-CPH-Verbindung entspricht dem Verhältnis 1∶2.
    Notes:
Summary CPH forms a red coloured complex with ruthenium (III) at room temperature (27°±1°) in 1.0–2.3M H2SO4 or 1.0–4.0M HCl solution. The complex exhibits absorption maximum at 530 nm. A 9-fold molar excess of the reagent is necessary for the full development of colour intensity. Beer's law is valid over the concentration range 0.4–12.0 ppm in 1.5M H2SO4 and 0.2–4.8 ppm in 2M HCl. The sensitivity of the reaction in H2SO4 and HCl acid media is 0.021μg/cm2 and 0.014μg/cm2 for A=0.001 respectively. The composition study by molar ratio method indicates that the ruthenium-CPH complex has a ratio of 1∶2.

Summary Phenothiazine forms a blue-violet colored complex with palladium(II) at a pH value 2.5–3.5. A 16-fold molar concentration of the reagent is necessary for the full development of color intensity. Beer's law is valid over the concentration range 0.2–3.0 ppm. The optimum concentration range evaluated by Ringbom's method is 1.4–2.9 ppm. The sensitivity (for an absorbance value of 0.001) of reaction is 0.015 μg/cm2 and the molar absorptivity is 7.13 × 103 1 mol−1 cm−1 at 600 nm. The effects due to pH, reagent concentration, ethanol concentration, time and diverse ions are reported. The composition of the complex as determined by the continuous variation and mole ratio methods is 1∶1 and the apparent stability constant of the complex at pH 3.0 and 270 has the log K value of 4.5.

Summary Tetrasodium salts of copper(II) 4,4′,4″,4‴-tetrasulphophthalo-cyanine 2-hydrate, nickel (II)4,4′,4″,4‴-tetrasulphophthalocyanine, nickel(II) 3,3′,3″,3‴-tetrasurphophthaloycanine and cobalt(II) 4,4′,4″, 4‴-tetrasulphophthalocyanine 2-hydrate, and copper phthalocyanine trisulphonic acid are prepared in pure state. The molar absorptivity and formal redox potentials of the complexes are determined. The complexes are proposed as sensitive redox indicators in the micro determination of iron(II), arsenic(III), molybdenum(V), uranium(IV) and hydroquinone with 0.001–0.0005N cerium(IV) sulphate in sulphuric, hydrochloric and acetic acid media. They give sharp colour change from light turquoise blue to pale purple colour at the equivalence point. They have advantages over a few existing redox indicators.

Summary Response ofLeucanea leucocephala to inoculation withGlomus fasciculatum and/or Rhizobium was studied in a phosphorus deficient unsterile soil.G. fasciculatum only inoculation improved nodulation by native rhizobia and Rhizobium only treatment improved colonization of roots by native mycorrhizal fungi. Dual inoculation with both the organisms improved nodulation, mycorrhizal colonization, dry weight, nitrogen and phosphorus content of the plants compared to single inoculation with either organism.
